In 2004, Mr.Sos Fazy was selected for the prestigious IsDB Scholarship Programme and began a BachelorDegree Programme in Electrical Engineering at Preah Kossomak Polytechnic Institute (PPI). In 2023, he graduated in Master of Public Administration in Asia-Europe University.
His four-year study period at provided Fazy with a unique opportunity to enhance my academic knowledge in engineering skill. During study, he is also having an opportunity to join the community development activities throughout the CPO and IGA in Cambodia as he is bearing the office administration. In this period, he learned and gained experiences from our Muslim and senior leaders on leadership management.
After graduated in 2009, Mr.Sos Fazy not applied for job with my engineering skill, but he decided to work with Islamic Medical Association of Cambodia -IMAC and Cambodian Muslim Student Association -CAMSA in position as Secretary General of both organizations. He also been an Admin in 2007 and later Acting Manager in 2011 of the House of Emirates for Orphans -HEO, locating in Phnom Penh where places around 100 orphans for welfare and education promotion.
In 2012, Mr.Sos Fazy have joined the Prime Minister’s Volunteer Youth for land title management to farmers through the Ministry of Land Management, Urbanization and Constructions for six months. In 2013, he’s a member of Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia -UYFC which is one of the biggest ruling party, CPP’s youth organization, aiming to help train Cambodian youth to become the pillars and backbone of the nation and as potential successor to preserve the past achievements and to achieve socio-economic development in the future. The resilience of Cambodian Youth means the promising future for the nation.
For IsDB affairs in Cambodia, he’s one of the focal point person communicated with IsDB for CPO and IGA, affairs in Cambodia as well as the establishment of the IET in Cambodia recently. In 2013, he was selected to join the IsDB Global Leadership Prorgamme which was held in Kuala Lumpur. I had participated number of national and international symposiums, conferences and workshops and on Islamic affairs, training, Halal expo and youth education.
Through that achievement, he got the honorable golden medal from the Royal government, in year 2013 and Monisaraphorn Medal, Major General Class in 2019.
In the 6th Legislation Mandate of the National Assembly (2018-2023), Mr.Sos Fazy promoted as Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The Cambodian education system includes pre-school, primary, general secondary, higher education and non-formal education. In this position, he in charge the Non-Formal Education Sector which included the Lifelong Learning Policy to achieve the United Nation’s SDG4 Goals. Beside this, he also responsibility for Islamic education and Muslim youth movement.
